Pin Badges
- Matt black Perspex thickness, 600mm x 400mm - ordered from Hindley’s.
- An Illustrator file was made; fitting 230 badges on to a sheet of 600mm x 400mm of matt black Perspex. 30 extra pieces are provision for errors, trial samples and spares.
4. Laser cutting took approx. 1 hour.

TEXTURED BRASS RIBBON
1.The size of the pieces was decided upon after sample making. Brass ribbon = 65mm x 7.5mm.
2. Brass metal sheet 0.55 thick. 500m x 300mm ordered.
3.Manageable pieces 60mm x 45mm were cut, using the tabletop rotatory metal guillotine = precision and cohesiveness, large enough to safely be rolled.
4. 0.55mm thick pieces put through roller with clean plastic netting sourced from the Animal Dept. taking them to a thickness of 0.3mm.

ASSEMBLY OF COMPONENTS
1. Gather tools; metal files, round nosed and flat nosed pliers and components together.
2. Edges filed used metal file with a repeated short one directional stroke, aiming for smoothness and rounded corners to prevent cuts.
3. Approx. 230 brass ribbons wrapped around approx. 230 Perspex O’s using the round and flat nosed pliers
